Over the last 9-years, Tommy has coached hundreds of athletes including Ironman finishers, triathlon first timers, Top USAT Age Group athletes, 5x USAT Youth & Junior National Champions, NCAA Junior Olympic Gold Medalists, NCAA lacrosse players, ITF Top-10, WTP Top-50 and ATP Top-100 tennis players, JPGA champions, NVL champions and more. Working with such a wide array of athletes, Tommy has developed a holistic training approach that is deeply ingrained in the psychological aspect of the sport. "Attitude determines altitude", Tommy says. "The key to unlocking an athlete’s true potential starts with belief. I believe in my athletes. But to truly be successful, those athletes must believe in themselves." Having coached multiple triathlon training camps, clinics, and seminars, Tommy understands the power of teamwork. "I believe that IronGoat Endurance provides the camaraderie and sense of family that elicits success. Having fellow coaches and athletes that believe in each other and depend on one another, raises the group as a whole to a higher level." Having competed in over 100 triathlons, running, swimming and cycling events, Tommy has experienced the good, the bad and the ugly in endurance competition. He uses those experiences to teach and prepare his athletes for all circumstances. "You don't really practice getting kicked in the face while swimming, but being prepared for the unexpected can make or break a race." With an eclectic training background and holistic coaching philosophy, Tommy takes his athletes from dreaming to achieving.
